App
App
App

Privacy Policy — BatteryTruth
Last updated: 1 September 2026
BatteryTruth is developed and published by MUDUOPRO LIMITED (乜都得有限公司) ("we", "our", "us"), a company incorporated in Hong Kong. We handle personal data in compliance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) of the Laws of Hong Kong ("PDPO").
The short version
BatteryTruth does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. It has no internet permission, so it is technically incapable of sending anything anywhere. Everything it measures stays on your device.
What the app reads
BatteryTruth reads battery information that Android makes available to every app, with no special permission:
- Charge level, charge counter, voltage, temperature, electric current
- Charging status and battery technology
- Your device model and Android version, used to suggest a design capacity
What the app stores
All of the following is stored only in the app's private storage on your device, and is deleted when you uninstall the app:
- Your saved readings history (timestamp, charge level, capacity, health, temperature, voltage)
- Settings you enter: design capacity, the health figure your phone reports, language, notification preference
You can delete the entire history at any time from the Trend screen.
What the app sends
Nothing. BatteryTruth does not request the INTERNET permission. There are no
analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs that transmit data.
The one place the app can open a network connection is indirect and user-initiated: the "Look up my model online" button hands a search query to your own browser. At that point you are using your browser and your search engine, under their privacy policies, not ours. BatteryTruth itself never sees the result.
Permissions
| Permission | Why | When |
|---|---|---|
POST_NOTIFICATIONS |
Show the ongoing battery notification | Only if you switch that notification on |
FOREGROUND_SERVICE, FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE |
Keep measuring while the notification is shown | Only if you switch that notification on |
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED |
Restore that notification after a restart | Only if you switch that notification on |
If you never switch on the ongoing notification, BatteryTruth asks for no runtime permission at all.
Children
BatteryTruth is a diagnostic utility, is not directed at children, and collects no data from anyone, including children.
